HI honeylim, We are due in early October 2009 and I have a feng shui book at home. It suggests having a sleeping babies head pointing to any North facing directions are not the best. Which direction do you suggest? I think South west will suit our baby room best. Thanks

Dear Jay,
It really depends on the kua number of your child. Depending on the Kua number each child has 4 good and 4 bad locations. look up the kua number of your child and then let his/her head point towards that direction.
Cheers, Honey

If her Kua number is 3 then her best directions are North, South, Southeast and East. If the only wall you can use is the wall that adjoins the ensuite this is OK - if you have a good solid headboard for the cot. Warm wishes, Honey

Hi Honey,

Congratulations on the birth of your son, this must be an exciting time for you.

Thank you for your advice regarding the placement of a child's cot. I have read these points and also a few others such as not having the cot against a wall adjoining a bathroom. This is where it has made it difficult to place my daughter's cot (one year). The wall with the door adjoins her bathroom, the next one has a window with blinds (renting), the next wall adjoins our ensuite and the last wall is directly opposite her door. The wall diagonal to her doorwill place her along our ensuite wall (head next to the toilet). Is this ok? Her number is 3 and the position is also diagonal to the door.

I would appreciate your thoughts about the best cot placement for her please. Also, I am interested in looking at learning more about feng shui and about becoming a consultant. Can you suggest any courses or readings? Thank you.

Many thanks,
Michelle

hi Simone,
Thanks for your comment. congratulations on your new arrival!
Feng shui is a very vast subject and so i haven't got a basic page to describe it concisely. in future I will try to write a basic page.. but meanwhile, what i would suggest is to read my aunt's introductory book The Complete Illustrated Guide to Feng Shui: How to Apply the Secrets of Chinese Wisdom for Health, Wealth and Happiness (Complete Illustrated Guide) as it explains the basics in an easy way to understand.
cheers, honey
