Dear Honey,

I am so confused and i need some advise.
My husband is Kua # 6 and we have a house facing north.
There is an extra land on the west and we are planning to have a small fish pond in the west area of the house.

Is that ok, as some of my frens told me that its not good to have water features in west.
I am so confused and would greatly appreciate if you could help me.

thanking you inadvance.
regards,
-tina-

Water in the west is not good idea. Depending on whether your house faces N1 and N2 the water feature should be in the North. But for this year, do not dig holes in the north.

Lucky for you this year the South brings lots of probelms so having the toilet there suppresses your bad luck this year! Having said that, the south is generally regarded as the palace of recognition so having a toilet there could make it difficult to gain fame and respect for yourself. After this year, you can activate the south part of your living room to make up for the lost energy. Keep your toilet door closed at all times.

Hi Honey Lim,

I have just subscribed to your blogand would very much appreciate your knowledgable advice.

I have started a new life in Canada and need all the luck I can get... I just rented my first apartment which is a one room small place apt. I checked with the ba gua directions and my bathroom falls in the north-west sector. The entry is located in the west and a closet occupies the southwest sector. Now my working area, my desk is on the south wall and my bed in the north wall...further west, between the bed and the bathroom is the kitchen area...i know this is a lot of information but i need all the help i can get... do you have any cures for specific spots and advice for me?

Thank you so much for being there

Looking forward to hearing from you

Helena

P.s. - My chinese sign is Monkey, I was born in 1968...

Dear elvie

If the wealth star has fallen into your bathroom, activate it in the east of the living room instead. Small Taichi applciation is still very effective. Do not activate anything in your bathroom! Do not activate in the bedroom either. As for the double 8 star, definitely activate the north wtih your waterfall fountain.. however, do not dig a hole in the North this year. Cheers H

Hi there Joy

Thanks for your comment and congratulations! All formulas that I use are based on the compass, so this means compass south, and compass north and so forth. The system of feng shui that treats the main door as South is called "Black Hat Sect" feng shui, and this style of feng shui is not followed by me or my aunt. So to answer your questions..

1) Yes, you put cures in the compass direction of the room. To determine this stand in the center of your room with a compass, and in the furthest direction of North, South, etc, place your cure.

2) In minor feng shui or "small tai Chi" application, always use the compass. The compass determines the direction, so north is compass north, and not "true North" or geographical north. In the houseplans that are given to you, north marks True North or geographical north, and this isn't the correct North to use either. The correct north to use is compass north.

I hope this clears things up for you ... definitely for health is advisable to wear a Wu Lou, and suppress all illness stars in the bedroom, living room and the home (the illness star is in the NW this year).

Good Luck..
Cheers, Honey

Good to see you online again! And, with a baby! Congrats.

Good to know that I am in for a good year. My Horse husband is not though. Talking about personal directions based on Kua, or are we are talking about real Compass directions? I have also heard that wherever you go in a room, that the door is always in the line of the South - even though it may not be the True Compass South.

So when we put cures as you advised in a room,

1. Do we put the cures in the true compass direction of the room?
2. Or the Minor Fengshui, where the door is always considered the South?

Please help because I need to strengthen my husband this year (Horse, Kua 4)and I am a Dragon, Kua 6. He has not been healthy for the past few months. The main door to the house is in the real South so it is good for him but then again you say it's a doomed area for the year. And South is not my good direction either. I would like to strengthen bedroom and office room that works for both of us, but I don't know - use true compass or area? A real stupid question maybe, but I am really a bit confused! Thanks Honey!
