I am keeping in a 50cm china porcelain bowl in my north sector of my living room. I have read in many recommendations about 9 gold fishes. Because my bowl isnt a big one, I m thinking of just rearing 2-3 gold fishes in it. Is that auspicious? What are the other combinations that are good besides 9?
From a feng shui perspective, numbers take significance from 2 schools – Firstly, they way the numbers “sound” in Chinese have symbolic connotations, and secondly – the meaning of the numbers under the Flying Star intepretation. Generally for keeping fish, I subscribe to the symbolic meaning of Numbers. Good numbers of fishes are 3, 6, 8 and 9. The best combination is 8 gold ones and 1 black one. A pair is good for love. When a fish dies, replace it as it only means that the poor fish has taken away some bad luck on your behalf. Say some prayers and mantras for the poor fish and give it a nice burial.
How about the multiplication of those auspicious numbers? E.g. 16 gold ones and 2 black ones? Will that work?
That’s an interesting observation but unfortunately it doesn’t work like this. The meaning is derived from the sound of the numbers.. so best to keep the numbers as suggested. 16 however, have very good meaning so you can keep 16 goldfish if you like!

i just got an aquarium given to me by one of my friends..(8 gold and 1 black)im thinking of putting it on the entrance of our apartment (which is located on the northeast) on the left side (inside looking out) BUT our apartment here in japan is very narrow so it is really not advisable to put it on that place as far as the space is concern. we are living in a very narrow apartment where doors are aligned straight..i know its bad feng shui thats why i put curtains on it on the doors to block any bad lucks. Now, my first question is; is it bad to put my fish tank next to the window? im planning of putting it on my kitchen (EAST) instead since i dont have any space to put it on the entance/hallway of my apartment. its above the sink but it got a big window right next to it i mean behind the fish tank.. is that okay? my husband is really having a hard time finding a good job and so do i.. what should i do? please help.. me and my husband will be very delighted to hear from you.

hi, when placing the aquarium in the southeast, is it placed in the southeast portion of the house or facing southeast of the house.

we have a big aquarium…i don’t know where is the right position…we are on the 6th flr, the building is facing northwest…if i’m facing southeast diagonally east is on my left side this is the back side of the building, wherein our flat is currently facing like our balcony….we are on the back side…my main door is align with my living room door and you could see the outside view from the hall way…is it ok to place there the aquarium as this is the southeast part of the living room…i’m so confused for searching where to properly place it bec. it gives us financial difficulty..honestly, i almost sell this…don’t really know…. please advice…

You need crystal balls.. get some crystal balls from fsmegamall.com and place them on your desk. They absorb bad chi!
Fish tank by the main door is always good for bringing wealth.
