Be mindful of the Grand Duke and the Three Killings

Someone wrote to me asking about renovating at the Grand Duke Jupiter and 3 Killings.

We are about to lay a tiled Kitchen floor in the area of Three Killings and Grand Duke. It would involve drilling screws into the floorboards to secure the plywood onto the floor. And noise from cutting the tiles. I suppose we could just lay them onto the floor without screwing, but it wouldnt be as even. Or do we have to wait till next year? We have already done work end of last year in the south (didnt know about Grand Duke then.) and I have had no work for 3 months since! How long will the bad luck last?

It is considered very dangerous (fengshui-wise) to do rennovation in the GDJ and 3 Killings of that particular year. If possible you should wait till the following year and if the same sector is unafflicted you can then renovate. If you have already started renovating in an area which is normally occupied by the GDJ, then feng shui masters recommend “appeasing” or nullifying the pernicious energy through the placing a Pi Kan or Pi Yao mythical creature on the GDJ facing its direction. The PiYao and PiKan have no anuses - so it symbolically swallows up all the bad energy and doesn’t let it out! One loop-hole you can exploit, is that as long as you don’t start or end your renovation at any of the afflicted areas, you would be OK.
